Salom continually invests in 'vertical Integration' to manufacture many components. These are used in advanced assembly processes from PCB assembly with the latest SMT and AI facilities supported by AOI systems, through to fully automated lines all tracked through our MES system.

Vertical Integration.
Our vertical integration means we self-produce many components, including bare copper wire, PVC shrouds, transformers, housings and metal components including associated tooling. This enables us to control cost, quality and lead time, whilst optimising sustainability.
Product assembly.
Our designs are based on extensive 'Design for Manufacture' (DfM) techniques, developed to use advanced assembly processes from the latest 'Surface Mount Technology' (SMT) and 'Auto-Insertion' (AI) facilities through to fully automated assembly.
Test and trace.
'Automated Optical Inspection' (AOI) is the first stage in a range of comprehensive 'Automated Testing Equipment' (ATE) that validates assembly to the DfM rules and electrical performance to the product specifications. Test results are recorded in a centralised MES system for traceability.
